PM coaching
Grow your skills. Build your confidence. Lead projects more effectively.
Project management can be a rewarding career. It can also be frustrating, overwhelming, and surprisingly lonely. (Been there, done that!)
Whether you're learning the fundamentals, stepping into a leadership role, navigating a difficult project, or figuring out what's next in your career, coaching can help.
I've spent more than two decades leading projects, building teams, coaching project managers, and helping people grow into stronger, more confident leaders.
I'd love to help you do the same.
Project management is a practice
One of the reasons I love coaching project managers is that there isn't a single path into the profession.
Some people start as designers, developers, marketers, account managers, or producers. Others find themselves leading projects without ever planning to become project managers in the first place.
No matter how you got here, the job has a way of continually asking you to learn something new.
One year you're figuring out how to build a project plan. The next you're managing client relationships, facilitating difficult conversations, leading teams, navigating change, and helping organizations make better decisions.
That's part of what makes the work so interesting. It's also why having an experienced guide can be helpful.
Coaching tailored to where you are
Every coaching engagement is different because every project manager is different.
Some clients come to me looking for help with the fundamentals:
- Planning and estimation
- Project lifecycles
- Scope management
- Communication practices
- Managing stakeholders
Others are focused on leadership and growth:
- Leading teams
- Building confidence
- Facilitating difficult conversations
- Managing up
- Influencing without authority
- Career development
And sometimes coaching becomes a place to work through the real-world challenges that don't fit neatly into a framework or certification program.
The goal is always the same: helping you become more effective, more confident, and better equipped to handle whatever comes next.
Beyond one-on-one coaching
Not every learning experience needs to happen one-on-one.
I also work with organizations and teams through:
- Team coaching
- PM training programs
- Workshops
- Guided book clubs
- Leadership development programs
- Group learning experiences
Whether you're developing a single project manager or investing in an entire team, the focus remains the same: helping people build practical skills they can immediately apply to their work.
Why people work with me
I've spent my career helping teams navigate the messy reality of projects.
I've led projects large and small for some of the biggest brands in the world. I've built PMOs, coached hundreds of project managers, and spoken at conferences around the world. And I literally wrote the book on project management for humans.
More importantly, I've made plenty of mistakes along the way. Coaching isn't about having all the answers. It's about helping people think through challenges, avoid common pitfalls, and develop the judgment that only comes from experience.
Sometimes the most valuable thing a coach can provide is perspective.
What changes
Strong project managers don't just deliver projects. They help teams collaborate more effectively. They build trust with clients. They create alignment. They navigate uncertainty. They help organizations make better decisions.
As coaching progresses, clients often report:
- Greater confidence
- Stronger communication skills
- Improved planning and estimation
- Better stakeholder relationships
- More productive meetings
- Healthier team dynamics
- Greater leadership capability
- Improved project outcomes
Most importantly, they feel more prepared to handle whatever comes their way.
