Let’s nerd out on project management this summer

When I first launched Project Management for Humans, I wasn’t sure how far it would go. I hoped it would resonate with the kind of people I’ve always worked with—smart, overworked, under-celebrated PMs who just want to lead well, get things done, and not lose their minds in the process.

And it did.

The book became a calling card for a more human approach to project management. But last year, something even better happened: I started hearing from people who didn’t just read the book—they wanted to talk about it. So I launched a 12-week live book club series called PM for Humans Book Club.

What started as a casual experiment turned into one of the most meaningful professional experiences I’ve had. We connected, we challenged ideas, and we built something way better than a book club.

So I’m doing it again.

Starting June 10, I’m hosting another round of PM for Humans Summer School—twelve weekly live sessions, each based on a chapter from the book (but trust me, we’ll go beyond the book). It’s hosted in partnership with the Bureau of Digital, and it’s designed to help you think, learn, and lead with more confidence.

What made it special?

It wasn’t just the content—we talked about the book, sure. But we also went way beyond it. We dug into the parts I didn’t write. We unpacked the real challenges people were facing. We challenged existing ideas and co-created new ones.

Each week, a small group of PMs from all over the world showed up—cameras on, ready to be honest. We talked about process, politics, burnout, career paths, confidence, and everything in between.

They asked great questions. They shared thoughtful feedback. And they reminded me why I love this work.

It wasn’t a lecture series. It wasn’t a stuffy webinar.
It was connection. It was learning. It was fun.

So... we're doing it again.

This June, I’m running a new round of PM for Humans Summer School—this time in partnership with the Bureau of Digital. Starting June 10, we’ll meet weekly for 12 sessions, each one tied to a chapter from the book. But just like last time, we’ll go wherever the conversation takes us.
