Human-centered project management, now on YouTube
I wanted to share something new I’m excited about.
My first video in many years. The format and style is a work in progress. ;)
I just published the first video on the Same Team YouTube channel. This isn’t actually my first time doing this kind of thing. Years ago, when I worked at TeamGantt, I made a series of PM videos called Coffee with Brett that did really well. I had a blast making them, and I loved the direct connection they created with people.
Back then, I also had a secret weapon: Jason, an incredibly talented video editor who made me look way better than I deserved. Those videos were polished. Tight. Professional.
This time around, it’s just me. I’m figuring out lighting, pacing, editing—all of it. The quality will get better as I learn. But I’m intentionally putting the emphasis where it matters most: the ideas.
Human-centered project management is the work.
It’s how teams stay aligned.
It’s how PMs build trust, confidence, and momentum in messy, real-world environments.
This YouTube channel is a new way for me to engage—more directly, more conversationally, and more frequently—around the ideas I care most about right now. If you’ve followed my work for a while, the message will feel familiar, even if the format is new.
One more important update: the Same Team PM Squad is officially open.
If these ideas resonate and you want deeper support—playbooks, tools, conversations, and a community focused on human-centered PM—that’s where it’s all coming together.
I’d love for you to:
- Watch the first video
- Subscribe to the channel
- And, if it feels like the right next step, join the PM Squad (we have a free option too!)
This feels like the start of a new chapter—and I’m really glad you’re here for it.
TL;DR - I’m back on video—this time learning in public. The production will get better, but the message is already clear: human-centered project management is the way forward. The Same Team YouTube channel is live, and the PM Squad is officially open if you want to go deeper.
