Content/Process Workshop
If you work on any web design projects, you know that finding the right ways to account for content in the overall process can be difficult. You've got goals to meet, expectations to set, stakeholders to inform, a strategy to develop, and a whole mound of content to rewrite. How do you make it work? It's tough for even the best of us, but it can be untangled.
Content strategist and author Sara Wachter-Boettcher and I have worked together for a while. We met at Confab a few years back, worked on a project together at Happy Cog, and more recently on a large scale content strategy project with a client. We've both heard from several people that the content process is just so difficult to plan and manage. Because we've sorted out the process on large projects, we're ready to share our own ideas.
Introducing the Content/Process Workshop: May 16, Philadelphia
Sara and I will be hosting a one-day workshop in Seer Interactive's amazing, new event space in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia. The workshop agenda is jam-packed with interactive workshop exercises, lecture, group discussion, and of course plenty of time to get to know fellow attendees. During the workshop, you’ll learn techniques for planning and managing content in your next website redesign, replatforming, or product launch.
The workshop is designed for project managers, marketing teams, writers and editors, and digital strategists. Our hands-on workshop will help you gain the skills to:
- Define your content needs and assess them against what you have
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject-matter experts
- Build a realistic process for gathering, editing, reviewing, and approving content
- Kickstart writing and editing with content creators
- Align content progress with design-build stages
- Maintain content momentum over the course of the project
Interested? Check out the Content/Process Workshop website and register today. It's sure to be a fun and enlightening event. We're already excited to see that attendees are coming in from all over, so this won't just be a locals-only event.
